WHY 1914?
For some, 1914 is simply a date. For us, it is an invitation.
1914 was the year the territories that became Nigeria were brought together under British colonial rule.
We do not use the date to romanticise that history. We use it as a starting point for a larger question.
What have Nigerians, across cultures and generations, made of this complex inheritance and what continues to connect us?
Language of 1914 tells that continuing story through the lives, memories, cultures and achievements of Nigerians everywhere..
